Sleigh Bells Ring ....Are You Listening?

In the lane, snow is glistening,
We're drifting along, singing a song.
Walking in a winter wonderland!

Just had a lovely walk out in the snow this morning, just as the rest of the world was waking up. Introduced it to my 8 month old pup who went loopy lol.

Meet Me Under The Mistletoe....

My card making mojo has been missing lately and i've not made many cards other than fulfilling orders. But wanted to share this christmas card for the man in my life.

I used a borders embossing folder as I thought it looked a bit like mistletoe. The stamped image is from Sugar Nellie from the Manga range and was coloured with pro-markers. The sentiment is a stamp by hampton arts.

Mirry board and gems from my stash.

This is a close up of the image:

Challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Non Traditional Colours (no red & green)
Papertake Weekly Challenge 52 - Red & Green should never be seen.
Creative Card Crew - Silver or Gold.

Oh Holy Night... The Stars Are Brightly Shining

 O holy night, the stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth;

Long lay the world in sin and error pining,

Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope the weary world1 rejoices,

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn;

Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!

O night divine, O night when Christ was born!

O night, O holy night, O night divine.

Breif Update

I am well, safe and warm but Cumbria is still devastated by the flood and more severe weather forecast for the next 24 hours. Cockermouth is slowly allowing people to return to their homes and businesses as the water levels in the main stret have dropped, but viewing the scenes on the news there is a long long way to go yet.

Workington is still cut of 2 bridges have already collapsed and a third has a severe crack and has been closed, so one certain part is unaccessible and people are becoming desperate for money, food, medication and nappies etc.

Friday is the funeral of PC Bill Barker who lost his life when one brige collapsed last friday, his son is best friends with my nephew so it brings the heartbreak home even more.

I have not been able to craft much this week as we have had intermittent electricity, telephone and internet connections have been down, we;ve had not water and to be quite honest my mind has been elsewhere.

Sparing A Thought For Fellow Cumbrians

I was in Cockermouth this lunchtime, about 20 mins after we left they started to close the roads, evacuate schools. Tonight it is a scene of complete devastation, the river has burst it's banks. There are 3 RAF Sea King Helicopters and RLNI out evacuating 200 people from their homes, some people are still trapped. The main street is 3ft deep in water and rising!! If anyone is still up you can catch this breaking news story on SKY NEWS.

My heart goes out to these people whose homes are going to be ruined so close to christmas, yet 30 mins down the road I sit warm and dry. Please give these people a thought and pray the rains tops sometime soon.
