Uunder The Sea

Well If I'm not entirely happy with this card, if I could make it over again I would remove the roses. I have not followed a particular sketch but have used up lots of scraps of paper and card. I decided to go with the twisted easel fold as it's slightly different and a little special. Anyway inspired by "Passion For Promarkers" challenge all the 2's. My 2's are : 2 colours on image, 2 roses, 2 swirls of pearls and 2 swirls of gems, 2 stamps image and sentiment.

The stamped image is from "Kraftin Kimmie Stamps" and she has been coloured with my promarkers: Grass, Forest Green, Holly, satin, blush, dusky pink, mandarin, orange, aubergine, purple and coral. I have added some coral pearls to her headress and highlighted her cheeks with my white gel pen.

I added some gems and pearls in wavy  lines to look like the coral and reeds on the ocean bed. I used my square and Fleur De Lis square nesties and the roses are from "Wild Orchard Crafts". The sentiment stamp has been cut out with circle and scalloped circle nesties and is from "Lili Of The Valley Stamps".

The papers are scraps of "Basic Grey" and "Craft Creations" and the card is from the "Paper Mill Shop".

Happy Birthday Megan

I have made this card for a girl at work Megan who is 18 tomorrow. I decided to use the side stepper fold and stuck to a black and white colour scheme. The papers I have used are all scraps and off cuts from my scraps folder.

Attention To Detail:

The little forever friends bear stamps are from the "Glitter Pot" and were coloured with my promarkers: Ivory, Vanilla, Saffron, Dusky Pink, cool grey 1-5 and Black. The birthday recipe stamp is from "Lili Of The Valley" stamps.

I also used a "Penny Black" sentiment stamp inside the card and added a second bear. I embellished the card with black ribbon from my stash and clear gems.

Another Swap Completed

Well the May Swap for Scrappers Delight is to celebrate "National Scrap Booking Day" with a recipe related project. I don't really "Do" scrap booking so made a side stepper card and a pouch.
For more on my card see here.

The pouch was made from brown card and covered with "Dovecraft Piece Of Cake" papers. The inside contains two recipe cards, one for Cumberland Rum Butter and one for Cumberland Rum Nicky. I have also popped in some cupcake ribbon, cupcake brads and pink beads recycled from old jewellery.

This little set is being posted off to Rebecca in Texas USA.

Land Ahoy

Awww How cute is this image? Just had to have it and ink it up. It's quite apt really as I've just booked the seats for Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides in 3D :) whoo hoo !

Anyway the gorgeous image is called "Land Ahoy" and is a new release from "Lili of The Valley" stamps the sentiment is also by them. It has been coloured with my promarkers: apricot, honeycombe, ginger, tan, caramel, cinnamon, midnight blue, black, cool grey 1-5, satin, blush, dusky pink, berry red and Vanilla.

I have used up scraps of old 12 x 12 design papers. The checked paper is My Minds Eye, unsure about the spotted paper as it's quite old. I distressed the papers to add to the shabby feel of the card and added some "Bakers Divine Twine" (Ribbon Girl) to finish the card.

I used up some more scraps to decorate the inside of the card, leaving a blank panel for the sentiment.

I am entering the following challenges:

Jules' Crafty Snippet Challenge # 19 (Just For Fun).
Cute Card Thursday #164 It's So Distressing.
Lili Of The Valley #96 Ribbons And Bows (If divine twine does not count as ribbon, please scratch me off).

Give It Some Welly

Well are we relieved that we are up and running again or is too soon to uncross our fingers and toes lol. Must've been a few stressful moments in Google HQ lol!
Anyway I've had this image coloured for a while now, I received it in the "MAC Forum Stamped Image swap" and I have been inspired by this weeks Charisma Cardz Challenge #19 which is "Under The Weather".

The image is stamp called "Rainy Days" by Little Claire Designs and was coloured with my promarkers: apple, leaf green, apricot, honeycombe, ginger, red and cool grey 1,2,3,4,&5.

The design papers used are My Minds Eye "Be-Loved Fond Flowers reversible 12 x 12" and I used these to decorate the inside of the card too.

The buttons and green and white Bakers Divine Twine are from "The Ribbon Girl" and I used my square nesties to cut out the image.

Anyone For Cake

Hoooraaay, I've finally made a card AND I've found the lead to my camera lol.
I decided to try a side stepper card, I think I will make a few more, experimenting with  the sizes of the folds.

Attention To Detail:

The super cute image is from "Lili Of The Valley Stamps" and has been coloured with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink, Cocktail Pink, Salmon Pink, Cool grey 1 to 5, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Walnut, and shale. She was highlighted with my white Sakura Gel Pen and clear stardust pen. The brown roses are from "Wild Orchid Crafts".

The sentiment stamp is also from "Lili Of The Valley", isn't it so sweet and so versatile too. The design papers used are from "A Piece Of Cake" stack and the brand begins with a D lol, got them in the sale at Dunelm Mill.

I also added the design paper to the inside of the card and the back. The ribbon is from my stash and has chocoholics anonymous printed on the reverse, lol.
