SOAR

Well it's taken me a wee while but I've finally gotten round to making a card. I was inspired by this weeks challenge at "Sketch Saturday" and had had the image coloured for a while so teamed her up with my "Prima Botanicals" papers and away I went.

The image is from "Lili Of The Valley" stamps and she has been coloured with promarkers, Cool Aqua, Duck Egg Blue, Powder Blue, Cool grey 1-5, satin, blush and Dusky Pink. Her wings were highlighted with my clear stardust pen and her cheeks highlighted with my white gel pen. the sentiment is from "Magnolia" stamps.

I have distressed the edges of my papers and card, and embellished the card with a rose from "Wild Orchid Crafts" and the buttons were from my stash. I distressed the "Tim Holtz Adage Ticket" with my sandstone promarker and added some blue gems. I also decorated the inside of the card in matching papers.

Tea Time

Well I'm not entirely satisfied with this card, but I don't know whether that's just because I'm sick of looking at it lol as I've tried upload the photos about what feels like a million times now and blogger said no!

...ANYWAY... I've managed at last.

The image is "Lili Of The Valley Stamps" and she has been coloured with my promarkers: Cocktail Pink, Salmon Pink, Antique Pink, Lemon, Pastel Yellow, Lime Green, Pear Green, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Tan, Cocoa, Cool Grey 1,2,3,4,5. I have highlighted her cheeks with my white gel pen.

I used my " Martha Stewart" Lace doily punch and added a charm and ribbon from the "Ribbon Girl". The design papers used are both "Basic Grey" and the sentiment stamp is also "Lili Of The Valley".

The flowers are from "Wild Orchid Crafts" and the Gems are from Anita's. The pink card used for matting and layering is from the "Papermill Shop".

Summer Silhouette

The June card swap on the Mac Forum had a theme of Silhouette's. so I went with Summer Silhouettes. Now this swap has taken me fully out of my comfort zone and my card design is very basic.

I used DCWV Taj Mahal design papers and black card. The panel across the front had been embossed with my birds and swirls embossing folder. The sentiment is "Penny Black" and was stamped in black ink and cut out with square nesties.

The butterflies are also "Penny Black" stamps, they were stamped in black on black and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder, so when the light hits them you can see the pattern. The inside of the cards were decorated with the same blue as the front.

I needed 6 cards so made 2 of each colour.
