Tilda Tag

Evening everyone,

I've  been sorting through the files I keep my papers and card in. They have always been filed by colour but now each colour is sub-categorised by size, pattern and non pattern .

I've also gone through my snippets file and been ruthless, throwing away all the tiny tiny snippets as they are not big enough to even be die cut or border punched lol. I've also been die cutting a whole host of shapes, borders, swirls and edges from my snippets in preparation for Easter, Christmas and other occasions.

I've been practising colouring different skin tones and thought I'd use this "Tilda" to make a tag.

The card, papers, lace, ribbon and fibres are all from my snippets folder.  The papers are "My Minds Eye - Beloved" and "Basic Grey - Sultry". Tilda has been coloured with my promarkers: shale, burnt sienna, cinnamon, cool grey 5, black, pastel yellow, buttercup, mustard, lilac, lavender, amethyst, forest green and olive green.
and highlighted with my white gel pen.

The gems are from my stash and the sentiment stamp is "Penny Black" you may have seen this on my previous snippets card lol.

Snippet of Love

Evening everybody,

Day one of half term week gone already :( .

I have not stopped all day, got a busy few days ahead so may not get to blog much now until the end of the week. Anyway this little set was commissioned by a friend as she wanted it for her little Niece for Valentines Day. It has been made from snippets of paper and off cuts of card.

The design paper I've used is "Princess Fairytale - Dovecraft", I've picked out one of the colours in the paper to use to colour Tilda. The stamp is "Tilda with Love Letter - Magnolia". The cellophane bag has been recycled from some packaging and the twine is from "The Ribbon Girl".

Tilda has been coloured with my promarkers: Peach, Oatmeal, Mango, Chestnut, Umber, Pear Green, Moss Green, Sunkissed Pink, Dusky Pink and Blush. She has been highlighted with my white gel pen. I have also added a dusting of sparkle to the rose petals and heart.

I've not added a sentiment to the front of the card as I was asked not too. The inside of the card has been decorated to match the front.

Thank you for your time :) .

Friends Are Special Treasures Of The Heart

Evening Everyone,

GUESS WHAT It's HALF TERM 1 WEEK  AND 2 WHOLE WEEKENDS OFF WORK WHOOP WHOOP.

Thought I'd share this little card it's only 12 cm x 6.5 cm and made entirely from scraps. I found the sentiment stamp in the bottom of a drawer and the rest sort of fell together.

I used "Tilda With Heart - Magnolia" stamp and coloured her with promarkers: Coral, Dusky Rose, Antique Pink, Baby Pink, cool grey 1, Cocoa, Burnt Sienna, Umber, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink. I highlighted  her cheeks and knees with my white gel pen.

The design paper is "Basic Grey - Indian Summer" and the pearls are from my stash. The Pink ribbon is from "The Ribbon Girl" and I have pleated it to create the ruffled effect. The butterfly is a "Marianne Creatables Die" and I've added some glitter for sparkle.

The sentiment stamp is "Penny Black".
Thanks for looking and before I go a BIG hello to my new followers, I will try my best to follow you back this next week :).

Rockin Birthday

Evening Everybody,

This card has been a top secret project for weeks and now it's finished I can share with you all. It is a birthday card for my eldest Nephew Cieran who is 16 next month. He's too cool to view my blog so I'm perfectly safe.

I used this "Buggin Drummer - Kenny K" stamp as Ren is a drummer with his band "The Messengers" and coloured it with my promarkers: lipstick red, red, cool grey 1-5, ice grey 1-5, black, denim blue, midnight blue, satin, blush and dusky pink. . His name was made with my "sissix  alphabet die" and "cuttlebug", the stars and sentiment were handmade as i didn't want them perfectly symmetrical. The stars have been covered with red stickles and the letters edged in black.

The design papers are a mixture of scraps of "Basic Grey" and the red and black card is from "papermill".

You Complete Me

Evening everyone,

Well we've had an interesting day at work today. I got to meet one of my comedy heroes, ex-pupil and non other than Edmund Blackadder himself - Mr Rowan Atkinson. Us lovely Dinner ladies got to serve him his lunch, what a nice man :) and what a nice car too lol :) .

Anyway onto tonight's card which has a quote from one of my favourite movies "Jerry Maguire", this is for my gorgeous other half for valentines day. I don't really believe in Valentines Day and often think it's all hype and overrated, and we have our own little anniversaries and dates to celebrate, but with getting engaged last August , this year it's quite special to us, so I've made this card. He doesn't look at my blog often so quite safe to show you.  I wanted to keep the design fairly clean and simple.

I used my cuttlebug heart die and then drew on the jigsaw shapes. I cut out one of the jigsaw shapes and hand wrote  the "You" and hand wrote "complete Me". I went over the heart and jigsaw piece with crackle glaze to add some texture and have just noticed the you is slightly smudged, will have to replace it :(.

Anyway thanks for looking.
