Happy Birthday Nephew

Evening everybody,

School is finally closed, no more work until the 19th April, so if the fuel strike is gonna happen please make it in the next 3 weeks, and if it's going to snow as predicted please make that happen in the next 3 weeks too lol. Personally I would prefer LOTS MORE of the fantastic sunny weather we've had this last week :).

Anyway it was my eldest Nephew Cierans 16th Birthday on Wednesday and I thought I'd share his card from me. I really wasn't sure about and I'm still not really sure about it but he liked it. His cards followed a bit of a music/rock theme this year.

I used this Rock Chick image from "Kenny K" and coloured her with my promarkers:cool grey 1-5, Ice Grey 1-5 and Black.  I chose a  black and white colour scheme and the design papers are really old from my scraps. I used my star nesties to cut the aperture to stamp the "Lili Of The Valley" sentiment inside.

I tried to grunge the edges of the card up with black ink and heat embossed some silver too. It didn't turn out quite the same as appeared in my head lol, but I'm getting used to that !

Anyway thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend. This is a rare weekend off, so I'm looking forward to going to bed tonight and turning off my alarm clock lol.

Adore

Evening everybody,

A little card to share with you, I'm getting ahead with some orders as this card is not required until November lol, for my Aunt and Uncles Ruby Wedding. It has sort of fallen together little by little.
The beautiful image is by "Lili Of The Valley" and has been coloured with my promarkers: Ice Grey 1-5, Lipstick Red, Red, Cardinal Red, Warm Grey 3,4,5, Pear Green, Moss Green, Olive Green, China Blue, Denim Blue and Pastel Blue. The image was cut out with my circle nesties and highlighted with my white gel pen.

The design papers are really old  "Creative Imaginations - Anthology" and the card is from "Papermill". I have used a "Tim Holtz Adage Ticket" and some "Wild Orchid Craft" roses on the card. The red stones/pebbles are from "The Ribbon Girl" and the butterflies were created with my "Tonic Studio" punch.

The sentiment is by "Lili Of The Valley". I had cut out a heart with the number 40 stamped onto it but couldn't really find a suitable place for it so will leave it for the box. I think the card has enough detail on it already.

Thanks for looking. One more sleep until the end of term....Whooo Hoooo :) .

Virtual Hug

Evening,
Have a little card to share first one I've made in a good few days, I really have no motivation recently, think I need to find some fresh new challenge blogs to inspire me. This card is for an old school friend who I've recently gotten back in touch with through Facebook and needs a bit of a hug right now, so as I don't have her address I've linked her in on the photo and sent a virtual hug instead!

I used "Koala Hug" Tilda and coloured her with my promarkers: Primrose, Buttercup, Lemon, Warm Grey 1-5, Ice Grey 1-5, Duck Egg Blue, Cool Aqua, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink. She has been highlighted with my white gel pen.

The yellow DP is "Basic Grey" and the Blue is "Prima Botanicals". The flowers are from my stash and the gorgeous lace is from "The Ribbon Girl". The sentiment is by "Penny Black".
Thanks For Looking :).
Hope to be back soon.

Skyla's Card

Good Morning

A quick (scheduled) post . Anyway I just wanted to share the card I made to match "Skyla's" candle.

I used the layout from last weeks "Sketch Saturday" challenge and decided to go for a white on white with a hint of pink theme. I used the same gorgeous "Lili Of The Valley" stamp and coloured it with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Ice Grey 1 & 2 , warm grey 4 & 5 and Rose Pink.

The image has been highlighted with my white gel pen and a little pink sparkle. I have used my "Swiss Dots" and "Birds And Swirls" embossing folders on this card and my "Circle" nesties. The sentiment stamp is also by "Lili Of The Valley".

The ribbon, flowers and gems are from my stash and the cross charm was sent to me in a swap a long time back now.

Anyway that's me, no particular challenges in mind for this card.

Thanks for looking :) .

Skyla's Candle

Hello everybody, I've really enjoyed my break from blogging, I was loosing all motivation and imagination with my cards.
Anyway,
One of the girls at work "Megan" had a baby girl "Skyla" last November and she is being christened on the 1st April. So I have been busy working on her card and keepsake. So I thought I would share the candle first. It's been a good while since I've done a candle and really enjoyed it.

I used the gorgeous "Lili Of The Valley" stamp on the front, coloured with promarkers: satin, blush, dusky pink, ice grey 1 and warm grey 4 and 5, but they've faded slightly during the heating process. and used my "Quickie Glue Pen" to attach the gems.

I used my "Dovecraft Roman Alphabet" stamps to personalise the back of the candle with "Skyla's " name and date of christening.
The ribbon I've used to tie the cellophane is from the "Ribbon Girl" and the silver cross charm was in my stash.

I have used my scalloped square nesties to make the tag and my birds and swirls embossing folder. I have personalised the front again with "Skyla's" name and the back with another "Lili Of The Valley" sentiment stamp. The beads attached to the label have been recycled from an old bracelet.

So there you have it.

Still have the card, gift box and gift bag to share at a later date.

Thanks For Looking.
