Welcome Baby Giles

Morning Everyone,
Day 2 of Half term and another Baby card to share made for my friend and her hubby. I used the gorgeous Sugar Nellie digi - Bambino for this card and coloured it with my promarkers. I kept to a clean and simple design with this card, adding a sprinkle of sparkle, pearls and organza ribbon.

I found this poem on the web and changed the names accordingly, I particularly like the line "That you've made a happy landing" as Dom (Elika's hubby) is an airline pilot :). The design papers used inside and out are Craft Creations.

Sentiments are computer generated. Thanks for looking and enjoy your Tuesday :). I'm off to see Skyfall tomorrow.

Ingredients:

Stamp: Bambino - Sugar Nellie Digi.
Design Papers: Craft Creation.
Other: Liquid pearls, organza ribbon, diamond stickles (stash).
Promarkers: Powder Blue, Blue Pearl, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink.

Big Brother

Good Morning Everyone,
It's a sunny but crisp and cool Monday morning here, the first day of the Half term holidays :) whooo hooo. Saying that, thanks to the clocks going back this weekend, I've been awake since 5.30 am so got some crafting in while the rest of the world was sleeping.

This special card is for the son of a dear school friend who had her second baby on Friday. They have emigrated to Australia but thanks to Social Networking it's like she's only down the road. I used the adorable "Mo Manning Digi".

I coloured the image with my promarkers and highlighted it with my white gel pen. The design papers are "first Edition", the sentiments were computer generated and I used my alphabet dies to create his name.

I have decorated the card the inside of the card with matching papers and embellished with my star nesties and buttons, adding a little dusting of glitter to his name and the large star.
The poem printed inside the card is from the web, I changed the names to suit.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day.

Your Love is Like A Tree That Grows....

Evening everyone,
Have a gift set to share with you, a custom order for my Aunt and Uncles Ruby Wedding next month.

The card is made with Prima Botanicals design papers, flowers from my local craft shop Haven Crafts. The lace is from the ribbon girls and the charm is recycled from an old bracelet. The sentiments have been computer generated and I added platinum liquid pearls. The super cute image is from LOTV and has been coloured with promarkers: Crimson, Burgundy, Caramel, Cinnamon, Olive Green, Marsh Green, Apple Green, Leaf Green, Tea Green, Powder Blue, Warm Grey 1 to 3, Blush, Dusky Pink and Sunkissed Pink.

The gorgeous gorgeous poem I found online on a free website and it suits the stamp perfectly. I decorated the inside of the card with matching papers.

The bottle cuff is again made with matching papers, roses, lace and pearls. The sentiment has been computer generated.  The butterflies were created with a Marianne Creatables die.

Thank you so much for looking.

Brains On Wheels - Eclectic Ellapu Challenge #2

Good Morning,

It's time for our 2nd challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and this week it's the turn of the Purple Team. Our Theme chosen by Paula is Anything Halloween. The emphasis on our challenge is Fun Fun Fun and we award badges to the winners chosen by our challenge host every Wednesday after the previous challenge closes.

I have a friend who has a halloween birthday and is mad about Zombies, so I have made her this Card and Bookmark set to go with the book in the photo - she dosn't read my blog so I'm safe lol!

The green paper I have used is by "Basic Grey" and the black paper is from my scraps folder so not sure of the name, but it has clocks printed on it. The black gems are "Papermania". I have decorated the inside of the card to match the front, the lace is from "The Ribbon Girl" it was ivory, but I coloured it with my Black promarker pen.

I have used this fantastic "Saturated Canary" digi  Rollerskating Zombie and coloured her up with my promarkers: Pastel Beige, Kahki, Cool Grey 1,2,3,4,5, Black, Purple, Amethyst, Red, Pear Green, Olive Green and  Moss, I cut her out and raised her on foam pads and then covered her in "crackle glaze" to add an aged Zombie rotten flesh type feel lol.

I have decorated the inside of the card with matching papers, and used the same papers on the bookmark. The sentiment is also by "Saturated Canary" and came with the stamp.

Please Visit the "Ecelectic Ellapu blog" and check out the fantastic work and blogs of my amazing teamies and enter your own creation.

Thanks for looking :) .

Shanghai Surprise

Evening Ladies and Gents,

As promised I have a card to share, despite a bit of a tricky weekend. I wanted to share this beautiful new stamp available from LOTV isn't she gorgeous, just had to have her.

She has been coloured with my promarkers and highlighted with my white gel pen. I have used a selection of dovecraft Eastern Promise papers as I felt they matched the stamp well.

The charm has been recycled from a piece of costume jewellery. I ave kept the rest of the embellishments light and used only ribbon and gems.

I have added a paper insert to the card as a change from decorating it as I'm trying to make a variety of cards that are lighter on postage as well as my normal heavily layered and embellished cards.

This card will shortly be available to buy in my Etsy shop.

Ingredients:

Promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Gold, Forest Green, Crimson, Burgundy, Cool Grey 4, 5 and Black.
Papers: Eastern Promise - Dovecraft.
Charm: Recycled Jewellery.
Gems: Papermania.
Ribbon: The Ribbon Girl.
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat Digi Stamp.
Rubber Stamp: Lili of The Valley.

Challenges:

I'd like to enter the following...

Alphabet Challenge - R is for Recycle. (charm recycled costume jewellery)
Crafts and Me Challenge - #14 My Sentiments Exactly.

This Is Edward

©Iona Rose Hand Crafted Cards

Edward Scissorhands, I have wanted this digi stamp since the first moment I saw it, now I have it I wasn't sure which way to go with this card, but now I've completed this one I've a few ideas for the next one so watch this space :).

©Iona Rose Hand Crafted Cards

Anyway Edward came from the Ocotpode Factory and he has been coloured with promarkers and distressed with crackle glaze and liquid pearls. He was cut out and raised on foam pads to add depth to the card.

I have used scraps of papers as it's only a small card and decorated the insert. I wasn't particularly sure about a sentiment, because I didn't want to make it to Halloweeny so I used a Tim Holtz adage ticket. I found the Scissors brads in a drawer I've had them for an age, but think they go well.
