Long time no blog

I've had next to no Internet for a good few days due to the snow and the flooding and the fact that the idiot man over the road demanded all our telephone lines be put underground two year ago...GRRR. The Internet has been fixed but my lap tops poorly and is being serviced should get it back tomorrow fingers crossed. So normal service will resume shortly.

Apologies, I'm writing all this on my mobile and it takes forever lol .

Pop - Up Christmas.

Good Evening,
I have a card to share with you, just been having a play around and created a kind of pop up card. It's pretty much a work in progress and trial and error. I've things I would change on the next one...don't know what possessed me to go with brown Christmas trees lol.

Anyway I used 3 Magnolia Christmas stamps, decoupaged the Tilda's and coloured them all with promarkers.

I also used my Cheery Lynn Christmas Tree Die and Magnolia Doohickey Lovely Fence die. The design papers is Basic Grey Wassail.

Anyway short and sweet from me. Hope those of you  who like the snow and affected by it enjoyed it and those of you like me who hate it, it starts to thaw soon. Luckily in West Cumbria we've missed the worst of it, and what we got on Monday is more or less gone, however the mountains on the Edge of the Lake District are well and truly covered.

Catch up with you all soon :).

Eclectic Ellapu Challenge #13 Special Birthdays

Good Morning everybody,

Well it's Sunday again and time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, this weeks theme was chosen by the lovely Vicky and it's Special Birthdays. Please pop over and check out my fellow purples handy work :).

I'm getting a head start and  have made a 21st birthday card for my Goddaughter Caitlin whose birthday is in December. I have used Tilda Sending Love Letter - Magnolia stamp and a selection of Prima Botanicals papers.

I coloured Tilda with my promarkers: marsh green, cool grey 1 to 3, denim blue, cornflower, powder blue, ivory, vanilla, saffron, satin, blush and dusky pink. I have highlighted her with my white and gold stardust gel pens. The edges of the white card and butterflies have been distressed with Antique Linen ink.

I have decorated the inside of the card and added this verse found on google. The rose ribbon and heart button are from The Ribbon Girl. The butterflies were created with my Marianne Creatables dies and embellished with liquid pearls. The quote sentiment is from Pink Petticoat Stamps and the happy birthday sentiment is computer generated.

Cannot wait to see all your lovely entries for this challenge.

Thanks for visiting :) .

OLiver

Well I didn't think I was going to get round to posting anything this week :(, I literally have not stopped! My top secret projects are finished, but I can't share them with you just yet.  But I can share this Christening card.

I used my trusty Lili Of The Valley stamp and coloured it with promarkers and cut it out with circle and heart circle nesties. The papers are from my scraps file and the sentiment computer generated.

Short and sweet from me, so much to do.

Catch up with you all soon.

Eclectic Ellapu Challenge # 11

Morning Everybody,

Wow 6th January already and time for a new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu, this weeks theme chosen by the super talented Trisha is - Snow Much Fun. I decided to use this fab Tilda for my card and went with a little play on words for the sentiment.

I have coloured Tilda with my promarkers and doodled in the background myself and coloured that with promarkers adding stardust stickles and frosted lace stickles. I used my lovely fence doohickey die and my evergreen tree dies and swiss dots embossing folder. I didn't use any papers opting for white on white so as not to take away from the image.

The sentiment inside the card has been computer generated. This is a birthday card for a friend of mine who is taking a group of 16 -18 year olds on a ski-ing trip this Easter, so I'm pretty sure she'll be in need of some Apres-Ski and plenty of Schnaps lol.

Check out my fellow purples creations here they are stunning .

Thanks for looking :) .

Tag

Good Evening,

I have been experimenting with some new dies I got for christmas and have made this tag. I have used scraps of card and design papers. I used my new Memory Box Frosty Border die and scraps of ribbon.

I used the gorgeous Snowy Tilda Magnolia Stamp and coloured her with my promarkers: Warm Grey 1 to 5, Satin, Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Cool Aqua, Tea Green, Duck Egg and highlighted her with my white gel pen. I embellished the snowflake with pearls and decoupaged Tilda on foam pads for a little depth.

I added a snowflake button that I've had since I first started crafting 4 year ago and the sentiment is a Penny Black Stamp. I've embellished the die with pearls from the Ribbon Girl and distressed the edges of my papers.

Thanks for looking :) .
