Tilda With Daisies

Evening Everybody,

I wanted to share this card with you, it's one of the top secret projects I've been working on and has now been given to the recipient who is a secret follower of my blog, so I can now share it with you all.

I have used lots of Magnolia stamps to create this card, I used a pre-folded card blank, and covered it with scraps of "Prima Botanicals" papers. I used "Tilda With Daisies" and "Heart Flowers" stamps and coloured them with my promarkers: Cocoa, Umber, Burnt Umber, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Sunkissed Pink,Baby Pink, Carnation Pink, Blossom, Fuchsia Pink, Pear Green, Olive Green and Moss.

The Butterflies were made with a "Marianne Creatables Die", I covered them with a mixture of Cotton Candy Stickles and Cerise glitter for sparkle. I used my "Lovely Fence - Doohickey Die" and attached that with foam pads for depth. I have added some gems found in a bottom of the drawer to the butterflies and the sentiment stamp is "Lili Of The Valley".

As soon as I saw the images that were sent to me I knew what I wanted to do and for once it has all come together as I imagined. All the images on my card are by "LImited Runs". I wanted to create a magical toadstool house deep in the woods where all the wildlife come to life and can talk and sing :) lol.

I coloured all images with my promarkers: Lipstick Red, Red, Cardinal Red, Putty, Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Pine, Forest Green, Lemon, cool grey 1 to 5, Black, Dusky Rose, Baby Pink, Aubergine, Bluebell, Aqua Blue, Powder Blue, China Blue, Pastel Blue, and Denim Blue.

I decided an easel card was the best way to showcase the scene I've created, the butterflies and birds were raised on foam pads for depth. The picket fence was created with my "Magnolia - Doo hickey Die - Lovely Fence" and it was also raised on foam pads.

The design papers I have used are "My Minds Eye - Beloved " as they kind of remind me of grass lol and the sentiment stamp is from "Lili Of The Valley" This card is perfect for celebrating a move to a new home and who wouldn't want to live in a magical house lol :).

Evening everybody,

Have a little Christmas card to share with you today, using a new stamp and scraps of old papers. The design papers used are "Basic Grey - Wassail" it was a 12 x 12 stack and it's lasted me about 2 years so I think I need to order me some more lol.

The stamp is "Magnolia - Tilda With Candy Canes" and she has been coloured with my promarkers: Lush Green, Pine Green, Holly, Cool grey 1,2, Crimson, Cardinal Red, Burgundy, Sunkissed Pink, Pastel Pink, warm grey 1-5, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Cocoa, Burnt Umber and Umber. She has been highlighted with my white gel pen and I have added two little green crystals to her shoes to act as buttons.

I cut Tilda out with my oval nesties and use a shape-a-bilities die could be "Dahlia" or "Poinsettia" (can't remember) to make the flowers. I scrumpled the flowers after they had been cut, then unfolded them and distressed them with silver ink pad and then heat embossed with clear sparkle embossing powder adding a silver gem to the centre of each flower.

The sentiment is hand written and a little play on words :).

Hello everybody,

I just wanted to share this card, made following this weeks "Sketch Saturday" layout. I decided to go with non traditional colours for this card as not everyone is in to pink and blue.

This adorable little stamp is from "Lili Of The Valley" it reminds me of a little jungle baby, hence the animal print. I coloured the image with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Pastel Blue, Denim Blue. Forest Green, cool grey 1-5, ice grey 1-5 and black.

This card has used up my very last scrap of this zebra print paper, it is very very old and I have no idea where it came from but has been very useful. I have also used a scrap of black and white spotted organza ribbon from "The Ribbon Girl". The Little bundle sentiment was created with a cuttle bug embossing folder.

Clean & Simple Christmas

Good Evening all,

A quick little share from me today, the first of this years Christmas Cards and this design is so quick and simple to make can see me copying it in many different colourways. This has used mainly scraps and off cuts of card which has been embossed with my cuttlebug and "Swiss Dots" and "Snowflakes" embossing folders.

This super cute "Forever Friends Stamp" has been coloured with my promarkers: Ivory, Vanilla, Saffron, Crimson, Cardinal Red, Burgundy, ice grey 1,2,3, Holly, Forest Green and Warm Grey 3,4,5.

He has also been cut out and decoupaged for depth.

The "Bakers Divine Twine" came from "The Ribbon Girl" and the button is from my stash and is a deep green which matches the holly. The "Sentiment Stamp" is "Lili Of The Valley".

Evening everyone,

Finally got round to posting a card, been so busy this week that time is running away with me and today has been a non stop comedy of errors! Anyway this card was inspired by this weeks "Sketch Saturday" layout and is a birthday card for a work colleague.

Gorgeous "Lili Of The Valley" image has been coloured with my promarkers: Plum, Maroon, Pear Green, Marsh Green, Moss, Pastel Blue, Denim Blue, Powder Blue, Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Dusky Pink, Caramel, Cinnamon, Raw Sienna, Cool grey 1,2,3, warm Grey 3 and 4.

The design papers are "Prima - Melody" papers and have been edged with purple glitter for a little sparkle. The flowers are also prima and the butterflies were a "Marianne Creatable Die". The lace is from "The Ribbon Girl" and the gems are from my stash.

The sentiment on the outside of the card is by "Lili Of The Valley" and the sentiment on the inside of the card is by "Penny Black". The inside of the card has also been decorated with matching papers.

70th Birthday

Evening everybody,

Finally had time to blog this card, been so busy with life in general.....Grrrr lol. Anyway when I saw this stamp in "Craft Stamper" magazine I had to have it, it totally reminds me of Oscar my Miniature Schnauzer.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, and couldn't wait to colour it in either. So I decided to use it for my Uncle's 70th Birthday Card.

the very cute image and sentiment are by "Whimsy Stamps" and it has been coloured with my promarkers: cool grey1-5, ice grey 1-5, warm grey 4 and 5, black, red, crimson red, apple green, leaf green, oatmeal, peach and gold.

The design papers are a mixture of "My Minds Eye - Beloved Range" and the inside has been decorated to match the outside. I have not added any embellishments to the card but have added lots of "Lime Green Stickles" for a little sparkle.

This card is for my Uncle Greg who is 70 this year, busy year for me card wise with his birthday my Mam And Dad's Ruby Wedding and Auntie And Uncles Ruby Wedding, card orders coming in already lol.

Firstly no card tied up with family stuff tonight, it is finished just needs photographed.

Anyway,

Do any of you have to wear a uniform at work containing badge or company name? Is this provided by your employer but you have to launder this at home?

You can claim an expense allowance through your local tax office from £60 to £145 per year. You can claim backwards a total of 6 years. I've just found out about this and claimed mine. It's totally genuine, wish I'd known 15 odd years ago, as all my jobs have been uniformed.

You will either have your tax code adjusted or get a rebate :).

Get your claim in, every little helps!

Sorry no card tonight, in the middle of making it though. I have just received some "X-cut" alphabet dies, it's says on the back of the packet they are compatible with the cuttlebug and the sandwich is A plate, B plate die, card/paper and b plate as they are thick dies with the sponge on one side.

My problem is nothing is happening, the letter shape embosses the card but it doesn't cut. Do I need a tan mat do you think? . If I use a, b,c plates it jams my bug.

Any tips would be gratefully received.

Evening everyone,

man I'm sooooo tired getting to old for a 6 day working week lol. I have this card to share but I'm not at all happy with it to be honest. I think it needs some more butterflies in the bottom left or some bling or something! ...

The layout is from this weeks "Sketch Saturday" challenge and the papers I have used are new and are "First Edition ~ Dream catcher". I have distressed the edeges of all papers and card used.

The stamp new and is called "Every Day Princess" and is by "Stamping Bella". She has been coloured with my new complete set of promarkers: cool Grey 1-5, ice grey 1-5, black, purple, aubergine, slate, blush, sunkissed pink and coral. I have cut her out and added her to the embossed panel with foam pads to add a little depth.

I have decorated the inside of the card, I have used my label nesties to create a message panel and a sentiment panel. The sentiment is a "Penny Black Stamp".

I have decorated the back of the card too. I have glittered the edges of the purple card. The Butterflies are my new "DienamicS" dies (I can see these being the most used dies of the year lol).

Well That's enough from me, will maybe have another play around with this card in a few days...go back to it with fresh eyes.

He has brought me my FULL set of promarkers ALL the colours, I'm so EXCITED lol. Well I thought as most of mine have started running out as I've had them so long and as I still had quite a lot of colours missing I would treat myself.

So no card today, I'm going to spend some time playing around with my new pens and try out different colour combo's.

Well I've had lots of inspiration this week so made the most of it...Next week I may not have any lol. Thought I would share this little gift set with you. The tin started out life as a tin of nuts we got at Christmas, believe it or not lol.

Card

My very first attempt at masking, found it easier than it actually sounds just need to practice. Used these two adorable "Tilda's" and coloured them with my promarkers: Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Cool grey 1,2,3, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink. The design papers are a mixture of "Craft Creations" and "Dove Craft Piece Of Cake" sets.

The roses are from "Wild Orchid Crafts", the edges of all the papers and card has been distressed.

The adorable sentiment stamp is by "Lili Of The Valley" I love it, perfect for my "Tilda's" lol.

Gift Pail

Well it was once full of delicious nuts, but a Racoon stopped by over Christmas and ate them all, so I decided a spot of recycling was in order. I covered the tin with brown card.

Then I added the gingham paper and another strip of brown card. I added some black gingham ribbon around the top of the tin. I also punched two holes in the side of the tin and threaded some more gingham ribbon through to use as a handle.

The tin has been decorated with the same "Tilda's" and sentiment stamp. I have also tied some "Bakers Divine Twine" from "The Ribbon Girl" around the tin.

Not turned out to bad!

Good Morning

I'm quietly confident about this year, lots of good things ahead and it's only the 3rd of Jan and I've had 2 sales already :). This card and yesterdays card :).

I have followed the layout for this weeks "Sketch N Stash" challenge for today's card.

I have used this neglected "Sugar Nellie" stamp "Vintage Baby" and coloured it with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, cool grey1,2,3, Blossom Pink and Pink carnation. I have cut the image out and layered it onto the circle with foam pads. The circle was embossed with my "Hearts embossing Folder".

The sentiment is a neglected "Paper makeup Stamp" and it has been cut with neglected "Nesties". The pearls, ribbon and buttons are from my stash.

The design papers are new and are "Dove Craft Fairytale Princess" , I have distressed the edges to give a vintage feel to the card.

I Believe I Can Fly

Good Afternoon,

Here I am with my first challenge card of the new year :). Inspired by the "Sketch Saturday" challenge and some new Dovecraft papers.

Have gone a bit mad with the distressing, i've distressed the edges of the papers and card and then used Smoky grey ink to distress/stain the lace, sentiment, papers and card. I have decoupaged "Tilda" for depth.

"Tilda" has been coloured with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Blue Pearl, china Blue, Cornflower Blue, Cool Grey 1-5 and Black.

This gorgeous sentiment is by "Magnolia Stamps", every time I stamp it out I end up singing the song in my head lol.

The design papers used on this card are from "Craft Creations (gingham)" and "Dovecraft Princess Fairytale" sets. I have decorated and distressed the inside of the card to match the outside. the Lace and pearls are from my stash.

Evening all Happy New Year :).

here is a little review of my work throughout 2011.

This was my first attempt at a "Side Step" card,

Made this card for my Nephew Eughan's birthday, can't really tell from the photo but the skater boy has been attached to acetate so he pops out at you.

An Rectangular "easel card," love the image and autumnal papers too. Good old Basic Grey lol :).

My first "Twisted Easel Card", inspired by the Royal Wedding. The flower was made with scraps of ribbons in a red, white and blue theme.

This card was made for a baby shower, I adore this "Mo Manning" image and the flowers and butterflies set it off nicely.

Sorry I've not blogged much this week, I got Nintendo DS Lego Harry Potter years 1 to 4 off Santa and i'm hooked, cant put it down lol. But I have ordered some goodies with my Christmas money so when they arrive next week I hope to have a card to share and a ctach up with you all.

Evening all, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Santa was kind to you, he certainly was to me, lots of perfume, smellies new jama's, books and DVDs and the most beautiful pair of Diamond earrings from my Leon to match my engagement ring. Three diamonds in one year a very very lucky girl :)

Anyway I'm joining in with Debby's challenge:

My very first "Octopode Factory Stamp", love it and will be seen alot more next year.

"Lili Of The Valley" stamp, I like the golds and browns in this card.

Another "Lili Of The Valley Stamp" combined with white and silver colour scheme on a Twisted Easel card. Always looks extra special.

Super Cute "Lili Of The Valley Stamp", I love the paper piecing on this card, reminds me of school when your nativity costume consisted of bed sheets and tea towels lol.

Sometimes less is more, this stamp is a "Sugar Nellie" one.

Anyone would think it was Christmas!

My word it's creeping up on us, but I can sit here with a smug grin and safely say my Christmas is in the bag, presents bought and wrapped (in January). Cards made, written out and delivered, Food bought, Drink bought and opened (medicinal) and sky plus set. My craft desk has been cleared and all my tools, Christmas stamps, ribbons, markers etc etc have been safely stored away for 2012. I am now having a break from crafting until January and looking forward to it too.

Below you will find some of the last few cards I've made this year, not for any particular challenges:

I like the papers on this one, they remind me of a Scandinavian patchwork, this card has been glittered but left quite plain.

Same image again fairly simple, using "Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses" papers.

All I have to do now is try and shift the rest of this cold before Saturday, it's lingering on my chest and I've no voice to speak of lol.

Evening all,

thought I'd share this card with you a twisted easel card inspired by this weeks "Sketch Saturday" challenge. It's for my Mam and Dad, I've been sat all smug thinking I'd finished my cards, then it dawned on me i'd totally forgotten theirs OOOOPS, I have tried to maintain a white and silver theme throughout.

I coloured the gorgeous "Lili Of The Valley" stamp with my promarkers: cool grey 1-5, satin, blush and Dusky Pink. They were highlighted with my white gel pen and dusted with sparkle. I have used my "Swiss Dots" and "Snowflakes" embossing folders to add texture . The ribbon, lace and twine are from the "Ribbon Girl" and gems from my stash.

The sentiment stamp is also from "Lili Of The Valley" and the buttons were in my stash.

Well I could just fancy a glass of Bailey's but not getting Christmas food shop til Friday...so will settle for hot chocolate and a couple of white chocolate chip and cranberry cookies :).

For A Special Great Grandaughter At Christmas

Morning all and hello and thank you to my new follower :).

Quick share this morning, this card was requested by a work colleague last week. I opted for a different fold and used my "Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses" papers, snowflakes embossing folder and gorgeous aqua card from "Paper Mill".

I used this super cute "Lili Of The Valley" stamp and coloured it with my cool grey promarker pens, and added some clear stardust and white glitter. I matted and layered the image onto a bed of white "Murano Feathers" before layering onto the card with foam pads.

Anyway Thanks for looking, my cold is improving, it's my head is less fuzzy but it's moving onto my chest, appetite slowly recovering too.

Sketch Saturday

Well over the last three weeks at work I've lost half a stone in weight (which I can't really afford), due to the constant running around and started the Christmas holidays yesterday with a streaming cold, but in the last 2 hours my nose has stopped running which always makes me happier lol. So having slept all day and now being wide awake, I thought I'd share this card.

This card was requested by a work colleague, I followed this weeks "Sketch Saturday" layout and used the Lovely "Tilda" stamp.

Tilda was coloured with promarkers: Carmel, Cinnamon, Dusky Pink, Blush and Satin and paper pieced with scraps of paper. She was highlighted with my white and clear stardust sakura gel pens.

The design papers are all scraps from my stash and the Dusky Pink ribbon is from "The Ribbon Girl". The embossed panel was made with my snowflakes embossing folder and the gems and star charm are also from my stash. The make a wish sentiment stamp is from "The OCtopode Factory".

Evening from a wet and windy Whitehaven,

Just thought I'd share this card with you, it was requested by a work collegue and not made for any particular challenges.

The washing line stamp is a "Forever Friends" and the Bunting stamp is by "Magnolia". They were coloured with my promarkers: Cool Aqua, Duck Egg and Powder Blue. They were highlighted with my clear stardust pen and the name was hand written.

The design papers I have used are "First Edition - Animal Antics" and the card is from "Paper Mill" I have also added some pearls which I found neglected in my stash. I wanted to keep the embellishments quite light as I know the card is being posted.

Morning Everyone,

I'm having a rare lie in before heading back to work this afternoon, so thought I'd share this card. It wasn't made for any particular challenge (as I've not had time to look at any lol).

I used the gorgeous "Lili Of The Valley" stamp and coloured it with my promarkers using brown tones: Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Burnt Sienna, Sienna, shale, apricot, satin, blush and Dusky pink. I used my white gel pen to create the snowflakes on the background.

The design papers are by "My Minds Eye" and the ribbon trim came from "The Ribbon Girl", I also added a Little golden bell to the bow.

The sentiment stamp is "Penny Black".

So thanks for looking only 4 more sleeps until the end of term :).

Evening all,

Quick share for you tonight, this card is for Megan (girl at work) she left at half term to start her maternity leave and one week over due she went into hospital at 09:30 am and her Daughter was born at 10:12 this morning. So welcome to the world, little baby Skyla :) and congratulations and well done Megan :).

So I decided to go with an easel card and used this super cute "Lili Of The Valley Stamp", coloured with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Blossom, Carnation Pink, Baby Pink, Rose Pink, Cool Grey 1,2 and 3 and highlighted it with my white gel pen and clear stardust pen.

The design papers are very old and were found in my stash, not sure of the make, the pink card is by "paper Mill". The gorgeous pink ribbon and silver charm came from "The Ribbon Girl" and the elephant was in my stash.

I used my cuttle bug heart folder to create the embossed panel and an "MSE" sentiment stamp on the bottom panel. I have edged all layers of card and paper with my clear stardust pen so it subtly catches the light.

Evening all,

A quick share for you today, project Christmas is almost complete, just working on cards for work colleagues and close family now. This card has been made using scraps of various 12x12 papers and I've also paper pieced the gorgeous image. I have followed an old "Sketch Saturday" layout for the overall design of the card.

This super cute stamp is from "Lili Of The Valley" and it has been coloured with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Oatmeal, Soft Peach, Apple, Meadow Green, Midnight Blue, Rose Pink, Baby Pink, Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, Cool Grey 1,2 and 3. It has been paper pieced and highlighted with my white gel pen and gold stardust pen.

I used my Marianne Creatable dies to make the snowflakes, the buttons and gems are from my stash and the Bakers Divine Twine is from "The Ribbon Girl". I have decorated the inside of the card to match the front and added an "Lili Of The Valley Sentiment".

Afternoon all, well half past week already and 5 week today we'll be finished work for Christmas :), my presents have been bought since January and are now all wrapped up and waiting for Santa's elves to come and collect them for the big day!

So speaking of Christmas, I thought I would share this card with you. The image is super cute from "Lili Of The Valley" and was coloured with my promarkers: Forest Green, Holly, Apple Green, Leaf Green, Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Raw Sienna, Umber, Shale, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink , Yellow, Sunflower, Berry Red, Midnight Blue and Cool Grey 1-5. The image has also been highlighted with my white gel pen, white flock powder and iridescent glitter. The snowflakes were drawn on by hand, I was inspired to try this by Coops, as she is very good at doing this sort of background and it really brings her stamped images to life, go check out her blog :).

The Gingham paper is by "Craft Creations" and the card from "Paper Mill Shop", I used my "Marianne Dies" to create the snowflakes. I coloured the snowflakes with my clear stardust pen and I was going to give them a coating of crackle glaze so they appear icy, but at the moment I cant find it. The ribbon is from "The Ribbon Girl" and the buttons from my stash.

The sentiment used on the front of the card is from "Penny Black" and I have used my "Music notes" embossing folder to create the embossed panel. The inside of the card has been decorated to match the front and the sentiment is by "lili Of The Valley".

Evening All, finally I have something to share.

I have followed the Sketch at this weeks "Sketch Saturday" challenge and the papers on the inside and outside of the card are "Dove Craft Eastern Promise" .

The stamp is "Cheeky Glamour ~ Greetings Farm", she is very Marilyn Esque and was coloured with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Cool Grey 1 to 5, Black, Blossom and Carnation Pink.She has been highlighted with my white gel pen.

The sentiment used on the front and inside of the card are by "Paper Make-up Stamps", the gems are from my stash and the black card is from "Paper Mill Shop".

Christmas Gift For You....

Morning all, blimey what a long morning too. I woke up at 6am but with the clocks going back an hour it was really 5am. So now I'm watching re-runs of "The Good Life" while I type this up and then spending the rest of the day with Leon.

Anyway This is the Christmas project I've been working on all week, it's finally dry and has not fallen apart so that's a bonus. This gift box set out life as an old "Match Makers" chocolate box.

Too cover the outer layer of the box I used gold card from "The Paper Mill" I cut the top and the base slightly larger than the box. I edged this card with gold embossing powder and heat embossed it.

The design papers used are "my Minds Eye"and have been distressed, I added an embossed panel using my "Snowflakes" embossing folder. The stamp is by "Hampton Arts" and has been coloured with my promarkers: Burgundy, Crimson Red, Forest Green and Satin Pink. I have highlighted Santa's beard with my clear stardust pen and his hat with clear glitter.

The flowers I have added are from "Wild Orchid Crafts" and I have also added swirls of red and gold gems, I also added some gold stickles for Christmas Sparkle.

The inside tray of the chocolate box has been covered with "gold Mirry Card" and I added a sparkly Brad to open it with.

Whoooo Hooooo one more sleep until half term, believe me this term is flying by, and the return to work will signal the countdown to Christmas lol. Anyway we are having a surprise "Baby Shower" at work tomorrow for one of the girls Megan. She is leaving to start her maternity leave and her little girl is due on the 14th November, we're all looking forward to meeting her.

So this is the card I have made to go with her gifts. I have used the gorgeous "Mo Manning Stamp - Fairy Kiki" and coloured her with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Apple and Leaf Green". She has been highlighted with my white gel pen and sakura clear stardust pen.

The design papers I have used are scraps of "My Minds Eye", "Basic Grey" and "Craft Creations". The flowers are a mixture of "Prima" and "Wild Orchid Crafts". The gems are from my stash and I used my oval nesties and rose embossing folder.

I have decorated the inside of the card with more scraps of the same papers and the verse is a "Lili Of The Valley" stamp.

Christening Card

I have been asked to make a Christening Card for next month for a little girl, I already had an half finished card made in my stash, so added some finishing touches and a little personalisation.

I used this gorgeous little stamp from "Lili Of The Valley" and coloured it with my promarkers: satin, blush, dusky pink, cool grey 1,2,3,4,5, powder blue and pastel pink. I highlighted her with my white gel pen and clear stardust pen.

The design paper was from my stash called "Mon Couer by S.E.I" and I have added some white Satin edged organza ribbon from "Ribbon Girl" and a silver charm from my stash. The embossed panel was created with my roses embossing folder.

I have personalised the card with some "cart-US alphabet Stickers" and I have decorated the inside of the card to match the front. The sentiment I have used on the inside of the card is also an "Lili Of The Valley Stamp".

Christmas Gift Card

Afternoon All, thought I'd share this Gift Card with you all, it matches the tag I made last week. My Eldest two Nephews love me at Christmas and Birthdays lol, they either get money and chocolate or Gift vouchers/cards and chocolate! Teenagers are soooooo hard to buy for!!! Especially Boys (love them really).

So I made this gift card with them in mind. Kept the design fairly simple and kept embellishments to a bare minimum and the black and white colour scheme suits boys and girls alike. Then I layered white card onto black and stamped the "Happy Christmas" sentiment stamp from "The Octopode Factory" onto it at intervals to create the background.

The "Christmas Tree" stamp from "The Octopode Factory" was coloured with my promarkers : black, cool grey 4 & 5 and highlighted with my white gel pen. This was layered onto the stamped background and the black ribbon is from my stash.

I have made a patching stamped panel for the inside of the card and used this to create a pouch to hold the money or gift card. There is a panel on the back to write your message.

Black & White Christmas

Morning all scheduled post from me as I'm (fingers crossed) Hopefully back at work today. The dizzy spells have not gone completely but the tablets are working thank god. Thought I'd share another tag with you, this one has used my "Octopode Factory ~ Christmas Tree Stamp". I've just discovered "The Octopode Factory" some really cool digis and rubber stamps if you like things a little out of the ordinary and the owner has just turned 18....Very clever lady :)

Anyway, I used black card for the label mat and added a panel of white. I previously stamped the white card with the "Happy Christmas" sentiment stamp also by "The Octopode Factory". I paper pieced the christmas tree using up lots of lovely black and white scraps and covered with crackle glaze. The tree was then matted and layered onto black and white card and added to the label.

I used my punch tool to create the whle and threaded through some black funky fibres and added a black bead. I really can't wait to use this stamp again and add a bit of colour and pazazz.

Rockin Birthday Tag

Well this is the tag I made to go with yesterdays card. I used the same "Rock Chick ~ Kenny K for Whimsy Stamps" and coloured her with my promarkers: Carmine, Magenta, Hot Pink, Cool Grey 1-5, Black, Forest Green, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink.

I drew round a ranger tag onto black card for the base, I then added a layer of hot pink card. I then used a "Star Stamp" that came free with October 2011 issue of "Craft Stamper" magazine and randomly stamped on the stars.

I used "Black Diamond" stickles to fill in the stars for added glitz and sparkle. I punched the hole using my punch tool and threaded through the silver ribbon and added a black sparkly bead.

Here's a photo of the card and tag together.

I think it would jazz up any present .

Hello everyone, I have a card to share with you at long last. I've been a bit poorly the last couple of days with a dodgy ear, really bad dizzy spells and sickness and confined to bed. Been Dr's today and he's given me anti dizziness pills so I can get them in my system (fingers crossed they work) and get back to work on thursday as I don't like to be off too long.

This card was made following the "Sketch Saturday" layout, but I'm not sure about it at all, kind of wishing I hadn't stamped the stars on it now. Can see me taking it apart and starting again lol.

The image is "Rock Chick - Kenny K for Whimsy Stamps" and she has been coloured with my promarkers: Carmine, Magenta, Hot Pink, Cool Grey 1-5, Black, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink. she has been highlighted with my white gel pen and silver stardust pen.

The Sentiment was hand drawn and also coloured with promarkers. The sparkly paper has been in my stash since the year dot lol and I havn't a clue who makes it. The star stamp came free with an issue of "Craft Stamper Magazine", the stars have been filled in or highlighted with "Black Diamond Stickles". The silver ribbon was sent to me in a swap and the pink and black card is from "Paper Mill".

I have also made a matching gift tag for this card, just waiting for it to dry and then I'll post some photos.

I was asked to make a card for a "65th" birthday so used the layout from this weeks "Sketch Saturday" challenge.

Attention To Detail:

I have used this gorgeous "LOTV" stamp and he was coloured with my promarkers: Cool Grey 1-5, Leaf Green, Apple Green, Apricot, Spice, Crimson Red, Burgundy, Powder Blue, Duck Egg, Cinnamon and Raw Sienna. He has been highlighted with my clear stardust pen for extra sparkle.

The papers are from "First Edition-Animal Antics" and the inside of the card has been decorated to match the front. The sentiment inside the card is also by "LOTV".

Evening,

I'm back with another make to share. I have made some little notecards, the idea was inspired by an article in "Craft Stamper" magazine, my design is not identical it has been changed a little, so it's not a direct copy.

Attention To Detail:

I used the free leaf stamp that came with the magazine and coloured them with my promarkers: Spice and Burnt Orange. I then used my "crackle glaze" on the leaves to add a distressed feel, cut them out with my square nesties and layered onto the deep orange card. The sentiment is a "LOTV" stamp.

I used my paisley embossing folder to create the white embossed panel, and the two shades of orange card is from "Paper Mill". No design papers on this card lol!

I've finally made a card, it's taken over a week as I've done it in stages, added a little bit, left it and done something else, came back to it and added a little bit more etc lol.

Attention To Detail:

I have used my "Magnolia - Lying Tilda" stamp and she was coloured with promarkers: Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, apricot, honeycomb, spice, cool grey 1,2,3, khaki, pear green, satin, blush and dusky pink. She has been cut out and attached to the card with foam pads.

The design papers used are "Do Crafts - Eastern Promise" and I have added an embossed panel using my paisley embossing folder as to me it resembles autumn leaves blowing in the wind. The ovals were cut with my oval nesties, the sentiment stamp is by "LOTV".

The large leaves, were stamped onto scraps of DP's , the stamp itself came free with an issue of "Craft Stamper" magazine. I've edged the paper with my "Orange Peel - Stickles" and gems from my stash. The inside of the card has been decorated to match the front.

Well My mojo still isn't fully returned, I'm working on another card, but keep changing the layout and my mind lol!

Evening everybody, hope you are all well and have been lucky to have some sunshine today like us Cumbrians :) . Thanks for all your well wishes and concern for my back. It's actually my Right shoulder and arm that's in pain, when I had my accident 2 yr ago I was hit from the rear, I was stationery at a round-a-bout giving way to a van and slightly twisted in my seat which is whats caused the damage. Have acupuncture booked for a few weeks so should hopefully be on the mend.

ANYWAY....I have another decoupage card to share, no design papers and lots of white space on this one (Shock). This is another order for a 65th Birthday, I did look through my stamps but nothing jumped out at me, so I used this decoupage sheet and some punches.

Attention To Detail:

I have layered the roses onto 2 ovals cut with my nesties and layered them onto an embossed panel created with my roses embossing folder. I have embellished the roses and butterflies with my pink gems. The top right butterfly was made with my tonic studio punch, the bottom butterfly was sent to me and think it may be a die cut.

The name and the number have been made by hand. I have added an insert and verse to the inside of the card.

I was asked to make a card for someone who likes Daffodils or Teddy Bears, so I had a ratch through my old decoupage sheets and found this flower fairy sheet. I used to be really into decoupage when I first started out card making and still indulge now again, although stamping has taken over.

Attention Top Detail:

I haven't used any design papers with this card, i have embossed some white card with my birds and swirls embossing folder and layered it onto yellow card. I have added some yellow spot organza ribbon from the "Ribbon Girl" and a few gems.

I have used my scallop circle nesties and stamped a "LOTV" sentiment inside the card, the inside decorated to match the front. I personalised the card with the name pat and added some faux stitching with my white gel pen.

Hello, I've had a week off from blogging as I've been really busy on the return to work and so tired, plus my job is very physical and has aggravated an old injury gained in a car accident two year ago, so I've gone through gallons of radox and paracetamol trying to keep it under control. But it seems I may need to return to the Physio and start accupuncture again!

Anyway I've managed to do a little bit of crafting, I've been asked to make 6 bookmarks to be given as gifts so here is the first. I was inspired by "Passion For Promarkers Challenge - Patchwork" (but can't enter as i've not used me promarkers at all lol) and the "Alphabet Challenge - P for Pastels". The papers are Do crafts Eastern Promise and recycled book pages.

Attention To Detail:

The butterfly is a "Penny Black Stamp", it was paper pieced with the text and then distressed with my crackle glaze. I've added some faux stitching with my white gel pen and embellished the bookmark with my buttons and gems.

The squares were cut with my square nesties, i have added a butterfly charm and some funky fibres to the bottom of the bookmark.

These are perfect for using up all the off cuts of card I have acquired when trimming down my a5 to square cards or "Scraplings" as i've recently discovered they're called in Craft Stamper Magazine.

Evening all,

I'm here with another Christmas card to share, this one is for my Aunt & Uncle. I have gone with an Easel card and grabbed a chance to ink up a new LOTV stamp. I opted for non-traditional Christmas Colours too.

Attention To Detail:

The stamp has been coloured with my promarkers: satin, blush, dusky pink, blossom, baby pink, rose pink, gold, sunflower, marsh green, pear green, tan ,caramel, cinnamon, blue pearl, cornflower and cool grey 1-3. The image has also been highlighted with my white gel pen and clear stardust pen. I have added some white flock powder to the snow and the fur trim on her hat and coat.

The papers I have used are Basic Grey and have been layered onto Papermill card. I have used my square, scalloped square, scalloped rectangle, scalloped circle nesties and Swiss dots embossing folder on this card. I have also used my Marianne Snowflakes Dies. The personalisation has been done by hand and the sentiment is also by LOTV. I have added some glitter and pearls from my stash to the card for a little extra sparkle. Another card ticked off the list :).

Well I hope you all enjoy the weekend, I'm back to work on Monday, man the last 8 weeks flew by...Looking forward to getting back into my work routine though, just hope we don't get the predicted big freeze this winter!

I've been working on this order all afternoon, it's a Wedding Card requested by Leon's sister Catharine. I have followed the sketch at this weeks "Creative Inspirations" challenge.

Attention To Detail:

The image is "First Dance - Sugar Nellie" and has been coloured with my promarkers: cool grey 1-5, satin, blush, dusky pink, pastel pink, tan, caramel and cinnamon, I have highlighted it with my Sakura white gel pen and silver stardust pen.

The design papers I have used are "Beautiful Bride Sentiment - Crestwood" it has a beautiful pearl sheen to it under the light and has been matted and layered on grey and white card from "Papermill". I have used my heart die, birds and swirls and music embossing folders. The ribbon and lace are from "Ribbon Girl" and the flowers and roses are from my stash.

I have decorated the inside of the card with matching papers and the sentiment is from "LOTV". The personalisation was done by hand.

Well as today is my birthday, I've not done any crafting. I've been out for the day with Leon, we have been to Muncaster Castle (Ravenglass Cumbria) and had some scrummy pub grub on the way home. So I thought I'd share a few photies with you all.

Just wanted to share this card with you all. This card is going to be for the Head Chef at work Julie. She used to have a springer spaniel called "Benji" so it's even more perfect lol.

Attention To Detail:

The stamp and sentiment are from "LOTV" and has been coloured with my promarkers: cool grey 1,2,3,5, tan. caramel. cinnamon, holly, forest green, gold, tulip yellow, mustard, crimson, cardinal red, burgundy, satin, blush, dusky pink, blue pearl, corn flower and black. Parts of the image have been highlighted with my white sakura gel pen.

The design papers I have used are from the "Basic Grey - Wassail" pad, I have embellished the card with red and white spot satin ribbon from my stash, white lace from "Ribbon Girl", Burgundy flowers from "Prima" and ivory buttons from "Ribbon Girl".

The embossed panel was created with my snowflakes embossing folder.

Well thanks for looking, another card ticked off my list. I'm off to spend a few days with my Fiance, last week of my holidays and a birthday in 2 sleeps lol.

Evening all, I wanted to share this Christmas card I've made this afternoon. the image is "poinsettia" from LOTV. I have attempted a shaped easel card, first time I've made a round card, talk about making things simple for yourself lol.

Attention To Detail:

This gorgeous image was coloured with my promarkers: blue pearl, cool grey 1&2, satin, blush, dusky pink, gold, tan, caramel, chestnut, burnt sienna, red, crimson, cardinal red, lime green, pear, forest, emerald and holly.

I've not used any design papers on this card, I've used my "snowflakes" and "Swiss Dots" embossing folders.

I've added some green spotted organza ribbon from "Ribbon Girl" and a snowman charm from my stash.

The snowflakes were created with my "Marianne Die", glittered and attached with foam pads for dimension. I have also added some green gems for extra sparkle. The card has been edged with my silver sakura stardust pen. The sentiment is by "LOTV".

The personalisation was done by hand - this card is for Catharine, Leon's sister.

How adorable is that image?

It's "Fairy Kiki" by Mo Manning for Stampavie and I jut could not resist giving her a home.

I have followed this weeks "Sketch Saturday Sketch - #169".

Attention To Detail:

I coloured Kiki with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Turquoise, Marine, Apple, Leaf Green, lime green and powder blue. I highlighted he skin with my white gel pen and her wings with my clear stardust pen.

I used my "First Edition - Animal Antics" papers, the ribbon is from "Ribbon Girl" and I used my new "Tonic Studio - Butterfly" punch to embellish the card. The sentiment is by "Lili Of The Valley".

Evening all, this card is for my Dad's birthday which also in August, the day before my Brothers. I have used my "Lili Of The Valley" stamp my new "First Edition - Animal Antics" papers.

I coloured the image with my promarkers: Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Apple, Leaf Green and cool grey 1-5. I have doodled on the world greatest sign and also paper pieced the words and tie.

I have an insert into the card and used my "Lili Of The Valley " sentiment stamp and embellished the card with some beads and buttons.

So thanks for looking. Only got two more weeks of my holidays left and a birthday in 9 sleeps lol. Hopefully will get a good chunk of my Christmas cards done before then, already bought all my christmas presents.....

Birthday Bear

This card is for my Brother who has his birthday in August, decided to go with a side stepper fold and used one of my new Lili Of The Valley stamps.

Attention To Detail:

The bear was coloured with my promarkers: Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Mustard, Tulip Yellow, Gold, Cool Aqua, Duck Egg, Apple, Leaf Green and cool grey 1,2. I have added a few highlights with my white gel pen.

The papers I have used are from "First Edition - Animal Antics" (bargain 12 x 12 stack found at Dunelm Mill). I added some "Bakers Divine Twine and cream buttons" from "Ribbon Girl" and some gems from my stash.

The sentiments on the front and inside of the card are also "Lili Of The Valley". I always struggle with male cards, but I'm quite happy with how this one has turned out.

Well this birthday card is for a fellow Virgoan who like me has a birthday at the end of the month. The colour scheme was easy green to represent the Peridot which is our birthstone and black as it's classy.

Attention To Details:

I used one of my faves "Cheeky Glamour" stamp (Greetings Farm) and coloured her with my promarkers: Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Cool Grey 1-5, Black and Mint Green. I cut her out and layered her onto an embossed square, cut with my square nesties and fleur de lys nesties and embossed with my birds and swirls folder. I then coloured the embossed card with my mint green promarker.

The design papers I have used were a mixture of "Prima Melody" and "First Edition Animal Antics". I embellished the front of the card with some black sequins and green gems.

I have decorated the insert and added the sentiment "Flirty at Thirty".

Well I hope she will like it.

This is the very gorgeous Langley Castle Hotel were we stayed last night (Northumberland)

Well I have just had the most amazing whirlwind of a 24 hours, something that I will never forget and will treasure forever.

To cut to the point, my very romantic boyfriend Leon totally swept me off my feet and proposed to me on bended knee, and I very very happily said yes :)

.....I'm getting married in the morning....ding dong the bells are gonna chime....(not literally) no date yet, still getting over the lovely surprise, letting it sink in and floating on cloud nine!

Morning everyone, hope this works it's scheduled as I'm in the north east.

This is the final part of my "Fairytale Swap" at "Scrappers Delight". I decided on Alice In Wonderland as my theme within a theme lol. The characters represent the fairytale and the text to represent the story (if that makes any sense to you lol). I used the "Queen Of Hearts" stamp from my "Leanne Ellis Alice In Wonderland" set.

I stamped "Queenie" twice and raised part of her on foam pads for dimension. I paper pieced her with some scraps of an old book page and coloured parts of her with my promarkers: cool grey 3,4,5, black, poppy red and gold.

I didn't use any DP's on this card. I've used off cuts of black and red card, I embossed the red card with my hearts embossing folder. I used some more scraps of text to create the ruffle and added a red ribbon from my stash.

I decorated the inside of the card to match the front and created a hidden pocket for the ATC's.

I didn't add a sentiment to the card, as I didn't really have anything suitable and I wasn't sure where to place it.

This card is now on it's way to Tracy in Scotland. I cant wait to see what I receive now.

Dreamer

Whoo hoo on a roll with the posts, but this is the last one for this week .This is my second ATC for my "Fairy tale's" project. The photo doesn't quite do it justice as it's leaving a yellow glow. Anyway I used a scrap of white card edged with my "Powder Blue" promarker, layered this with another scrap of "Prima Botanicals" paper. The stamp is "Alice" from the "Alice In Wonderland" set by "Leanne Ellis" available at "Funky kits".

I stamped her onto scraps of an old book page and coloured parts of her dress with my "Powder Blue" promarker. I then added a swirl of blue gems around her and the word Dreamer. Dreamer seemed very apt for Alice, as if you've read the book or seen the films you'll know it was all simply a dream.

I added a scrap of blue card to the back of the ATC and the details.

Morning everyone,

I spent a good chunk of last night looking through old craft stamper magazines and it's sparked my creativity. I wanted to share this ATC I have made, it's part of my project for the "Scrappers Delight August Swap " and the theme is "Fairytales". Well I'm not sure I would quite class "Alice In Wonderland" as your classic fairytale as Lewis Carol is a bit dark in places, especially Alice Through The Looking Glass, but I've loved the books since I was a small girl and decided to give my "Leanne Ellis" stamps another inking.

ATC's are also great for using up scraps of card and paper too. I used ivory card and layered it with "Prima Botanical's Papers". I chose this paper as it has fleur di lys on the pattern (always regal to me) and the cogs and gears which I thought were apt for the "White Rabbit". I distressed the card with my sandstone and caramel promarkers.

I stamped the "White Rabbit" onto a page from an old book. (Now I love my books and I'm so grateful to my parents for encouraging me to read as a child and buying me books to feed my appetite for reading and pure escapism and was always taught to respect my books, don't fold down the pages, don't deface them, don't break the spine etc etc lol. BUT...I've just replaced two well read and completely dogeared classics in my collection and as I couldn't take them to the Charity shop due to the loose pages I decided to recycle). I coloured in his bow with my Poppy Red (but the crackle glaze has turned it bright orange) promarker and his clock with my Gold Promarker. I then distressed him with crackle glaze. The letters are hand written and have also been distressed with promarkers and crackle glaze.

I added some gold card to the back of the ATC which had been embossed with my Argyle embossing folder, and to this I added the details for the ATC.

Anyway sorry for waffling on lol.

Off to do some more work on my project.

Morning everyone,

I just wanted to share this card with you, it's another Birthday card for Leon's mam. I used my new Prima "Melody" Papers.

I used this gorgeous "Lili Of The Valley" stamp and paper pieced her dress, shoes and hat. The rest of her was coloured with promarkers: powder blue, duck egg blue, apple green, leaf green, cool grey 1, maroon, soft peach, oatmeal, pastel pink, dusky pink, satin, caramel and tan. I highlighted her cheeks with my white gel pen.

I used my cuttle bug, square and fleur de lis square nesties, and my roses embossing folder on this card. The sentiments on the front and inside of the card are "Lili Of The Valley" stamps.

I used the same matching DPs to decorate the inside of the card and the ribbon and gems are from my stash.

Good Afternoon, my mojo has still gone walk-a-bout, I had a brief spell of creativity when I was asked to make this card.

This is a quick make for Leon's Mams birthday next week. There is an ongoing saga with a badly fitted and faulty mobility bath and it's taking a while to get a new one fitted hence the card lol.

Photo is from Google images and I added some blingy bubbles to it. The "Design Paper" is scraps of "MME Wild Asparagus", and the sentiment is computer generated.

I added some "ribbon girl crinkle edge organza ribbon" and some beads to finish the card.

I'm pretty sure she will see the joke (crosses fingers and toes) lol.

Morning All,

I thought I would share an Ruby Wedding card I was asked to make. I really wasn't sure about this card when I started, i opted for A5 as my customer wanted a presentation box and to be honest I've not yet mastered the measurements for a perfect square box :(. Then I just played about with pieces of scrap paper until I'd decided on a layout. Next I chose my design paper "Dovecraft Eastern Promise" and matched it to the card "Papermill"

This gorgeous stamp from "Lili Of The Valley" has probably become my most used stamp of the year. I love it and how it can be given a whole new lease of life simply by changing the colours. I cut the image out with my oval nesties and matted this onto a panel which had been embossed with my roses folder.

Attention To Detail:

The stamp was coloured with my promarkers: Cardinal Red, Crimson Red, Burgundy, Tan, Pear Green, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Chestnut and Cool Greys 1-5. The image was highlighted with my white gel pen and clear stardust pen.

Morning everyone, 1st of August already ! 3 weeks of my holidays gone :( BUT still got 5 weeks to go :) Yippee and a birthday in 29 sleeps lol. Well I though I'd make a conscious effort to add to my Christmas Card Pile as the list seems to grow by the minute so I followed the sketch at this weeks "Creative Inspirations" challenge.

Attention To Detail

I used this adorable Mo Manning stamp and coloured with my promarkers: Duck Egg Blue, Powder Blue, Cool Aqua, Patel Pink, Soft Peach, Oatmeal, Maroon, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink, Black and cool grey 1-5. I have highlighted their cheeks with my white gel pen and the trim on their coats with my clear stardust pen.

I have used scraps of my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers. I love this paper stack, I originally bought 2, one to use and one to keep in a drawer and stroke and sniff (I love the smell...I'm really not weired). I am determined to use up every last scrap too.

The flowers are prima flowers and the brads and snowflakes are from my stash (Found them hidden at the bottom of a drawer). The sentiment is Lili Of The Valley and I have personalised the card with names (My Brother and Sister-In-Law).

Windermere

Lake Windermere, at 10.5 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep, is the largest natural lake in England, and is fed by numerous rivers.

A little video taken from our cruise on Lake Windermere, Cumbria. Funny I've lived in Cumbria all my life and only had a cruise on this lake once before with my Primary School as part of a school trip lol.

Afternoon everybody, another gorgeous day up this neck of the woods, got three loads of washing out on the line and have the joy of ironing later lol. Took sometime out to make today's card, using my new "CC Designs ~ Fairy Tales Liberty" stamp.

Attention To Detail:

The image has been coloured with my promarkers: tan, caramel, cinnamon, sandstone, satin, blush and dusky pink. I know the real statue is blue/green but I wanted her to fit in with my papers. I then covered the image with crackle glaze to create the distressed/shabby texture to it.

The papers I have used are scraps of "Prima ~ Botanicals" I have distressed all the edges with my scissors to create a shabby feel. I have adored using these papers and I'm determined to use up every last scrap. I used blue and ivory "papermill card" for matting and layering.

I have created a hidden tag, containing the sentiment (which came with the stamp). The tag has been covered in the same prima papers and distressed. I have added some ivory lace to the tag and the card, this is from the "Ribbon Girl".

I then finished the card by decorating the inside with co-ordinating papers and added a swirl of pearls and gems to the front.

H is for Hotel

I don't know if any of you watched the series "Hotel" that was recently shown on channel four (now being repeated on more 4). It was based at The "Damson Dene" hotel in the Lyth Valley near Bowness on Windermere. Well Leon and I went to stay there this weekend for his birthday, Windermere is only about a 90 minute to 2 hr drive from Whitehaven.

I have to say there is so much more to the hotel than what you see on the television. The room was gorgeous, a four poster room with en-suite jacuzzi and the bed was soooooo comfy lol couldn't wake up in the morning. The food was to die for too, we were served dinner by Amos (featured in tv prog) who is really friendly and have to say much improved, he didn't drop anything bless him lol. We had Roast Duck in port and cherry sauce with seasonal veg and potatoes for our main and it was cooked to perfection. Puddings and starters were delicious too.

There is so much more to the hotel than what was shown on the tv, they have massive grounds, swimming pool, gym, beauty salon, holiday cottages etc. We didn't see Wayne (The Hotel Manager) but did see fly his dog and Yvonne was on reception. But apart from that it really is worth a visit in it's own right, we would definitely go back and we took the dogs too as it's a dog friendly hotel :)

We went into Windermere and went for a cruise on the lake on one of the steamers, have some photos and videos of that to share later. I also have 4 days worth of catching up to do on here to!

Yankee Doodle Dandy

I don't know about you but I love "Yankee Candles" i occasionally treat myself to the tiny jar candles as they smell lush. This candle is for my Sister-In-Law for her birthday next week. It has been decorated with card and papers to match the card I made for her (see photo below).

I have used the left over scraps of card and papers from the card to decorate this candle. I used my oval nesties for the front and decorated it with pearls and roses. The sentiment is a "Penny Black" stamp. I used my Martha Stewart doily lace punch to cut out the blue band and added a champagne organza ribbon. I also added roses and pearls to the lid of the jar.

I have dipped the edges of the roses into pva glue and then sprinkled them with iridescent glitter to look like dew drops. I curled the wires of the roses with a pencil.

The scent for this candle is "Early Morning Breeze" and it smells divine and matches my colour scheme very well lol.

Evening everybody, grrr it's like a winters night outside, lashing rain and gale force winds :(. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, i've had a few days away. But now i've a few days at home to catch up on orders. This card is a "Bespoke Design" birthday card. Made for a special seaman from his buxom wench :).

Attention To Detail:

The image is "Polly" from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and she has been coloured with my promarkers: Umber, Burnt Umber, Walnut, Chesnut, Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Raw Sienna, Sandstone, Cool Aqua, Satin, Blush, Dusky Pink and Pastel Pink. The sentiment is also Kraftin Kimmie as is the barrel of ale or rum :).

The papers used to decorate the front and inside of the card are by "Bo Bunny" and are from the "Back To Basics Range" and called Beautiful Life Stripe (Reversible). The card is from the "Papermill Shop". I have added buttons and pearls from my stash and twine and heart charm from "The Ribbon Girl".

Evening all, hope your all well. Well I'm officially on my holidays til 5th Sept, shool closed last Friday Whoop whoop. Just had a lovely weekend away and just got back and thought I'd get started on some orders. This card has been made following the new "Cupcake Craft Challenge ~ first 150 your favourite Cup Cake", you can choose your favourite past challenge themes. I followed sketch #52 and theme "Summer".

Attention to detail:

The stamp and sentiment are from the new Magnolia collection and have been coloured with my promarkers: China blue, blue pearl, cornflour blue, cocoa, burnt sienna, umber, cool grey 1-5, satin, blush and dusky pink. I cut Tilda out and layered her onto the embossed square. I embossed the square with my spots and dots folder and used my square nesties.

The papers are scraps of Basic Grey and My Minds Eye, The card is also scraps of powder blue, navy and royal blue all from "Papermill".

The card has been embellished with blue beads (recycled jewellery) and blue gems.

Evening all just been watching "The Apprentice" and I'm sooo chuffed Melody was fired, wiped that smirk right off her face lol. Anyway I was asked to make a wedding card for a work colleague. I decided to go with a black and white colour scheme as it always looks smart and came up with this design.

I have used my Cuttlebug a lot on this card using long forgotten dies and embossing folders. The hearts were cut with a heart die and represent the Bride and Groom. I added some pearls for the buttons and a little glitter dust. The white heart was embossed with my "Birds & Swirls" embossing folder.

I have added an embossed panel to the bottom of the card and some luxurious black velvet ribbon to add a touch of elegance.

The stamp used on the insert is from "Lili Of The Valley" stamps and I have embossed 2 champagne glasses into the bottom corner.

I hope she likes the card, unusual for me not to have a stamped image on the front lol.

Well good evening all hope your all well, it's a mega busy week for me this week as it's the last week of term. School closes on Friday for 8 weeks YIPEEEEE. Anyway I was asked to make a "Golden Wedding Card" so I followed this weeks "Sketch & Stash" layout.

Attention To Detail:

I used my "Love Grows" stamp from "Lili Of The Valley" and coloured it with my promarkers: Tan, Sandstone, Caramel, Cinnamon, Satin, Blush and Dusky Pink. The papers I have used a "Prima ~ Botanicals". The card used for matting has been hiding in my stash for a long time and been neglected along with the gold heart charm (Recycled jewellery).

I have decorated the inside of the card with matching papers and left a blank panel for the sentiment to be written. My lovely new ribbon is from "The Ribbon Girl".

Well it's taken me a wee while but I've finally gotten round to making a card. I was inspired by this weeks challenge at "Sketch Saturday" and had had the image coloured for a while so teamed her up with my "Prima Botanicals" papers and away I went.

The image is from "Lili Of The Valley" stamps and she has been coloured with promarkers, Cool Aqua, Duck Egg Blue, Powder Blue, Cool grey 1-5, satin, blush and Dusky Pink. Her wings were highlighted with my clear stardust pen and her cheeks highlighted with my white gel pen. the sentiment is from "Magnolia" stamps.

I have distressed the edges of my papers and card, and embellished the card with a rose from "Wild Orchid Crafts" and the buttons were from my stash. I distressed the "Tim Holtz Adage Ticket" with my sandstone promarker and added some blue gems. I also decorated the inside of the card in matching papers.

Todays harvest from our greenhouse includes strawberries, raspberries, red onions and carrots both yellow and orange...yummylicious...

The Greenhouse

This has been taking up a little of Leon's and my time as the berries have harvested early and all other veggies are now starting to harvest! anyway...welcome to our greenhouse...

It's got magical windows that open all on their own lol.

These are the strawberries, they are suspended from the top shelf of the greenhouse to stop them getting damp and going rotten and have done really well this year and harvested really early. We are almost coming to the end of our crop.

From L to R - Salad, red onions, elephant garlic, french beans and more salad.

L to R , Rooster Red potatoes, Jersey Royal potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli, normal broccoli, (out of shot) peas, cauliflower,

We are also growing sweetcorn, parsnips and radishes.

It's so rewarding growing and eating your own food :)
